History Associates Celebrates Its 30th Anniversary with Gala at the National Archives
History Associates Incorporated, the leading historical research firm in the United States, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The firm marked the occasion with an invitation-only gala at the National Archives in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, April 16.
Nearly two hundred guests including former and current employees, friends, and clients gathered to celebrate. A brief program in the William G. McGowan Theater featured welcoming remarks from the Archivist of the United States, David S. Ferriero, who acknowledged the long hours spent by many History Associates staff members working in National Archives facilities over the years.
The program also included remarks by CEO and co-founder Dr. Philip L. Cantelon and president and COO Brian W.
Martin, a slide show montage of staff throughout the years, and a six-minute video commemorating the firm’s thirty years in history. All of these acknowledged the creativity and innovation of History Associates’ professionals as a hallmark of the company’s success.
Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed refreshments and hors d’oeuvres in the Rotunda Galleries and were free to explore the Rotunda for the Charters of Freedom, the Public Vaults, and the “Discovering the Civil War” exhibition in the Lawrence F. O’Brien Gallery.
