In 1984 History Associates moves to a private office suite in Rockville, Maryland, giving the young company a sense of permanence and fostering the emergence of a distinct corporate culture. Aware that success depends on the collaborative efforts of all employees, management acknowledges shared accomplishments and rewards them by returning profits in the form of benefits and bonuses. Staff members also publish HAIlights for the first time in 1984.  The internal newsletter celebrates staff accomplishments and profiles current projects.
