Employees Sally Simon and Nancy Merz, the company’s first archivist, at Texas Instruments.

While researching the history of the technology company Texas Instruments (TI), History Associates employees encounter a corporate warehouse stuffed with unused and unorganized records.  They recommend that TI implement an archives program, disposing of unnecessary paper and preserving documents of legal and historical value.  TI accepts the proposal, and History Associates hires its first archivist to oversee the project.  After bringing order to TI’s chaotic records, History Associates establishes an Archives and Records Management service line.
