Experienced Digital Specialist

History Associates (HAI) is excited to announce an opening for a temporary, experienced digital specialist to join our dynamic team of archivists working on processing a collection of a former elected government official.  If you meet the qualifications below and can commit to a one year project, this is the position for you.

Position is full-time temporary, located in DC, MD area

Job Responsibilities

The digital specialist will work closely with the project manager and lead archivist, ensuring specific goals are met. Attention to detail is a must. The position will involve both working independently and as a team member with History Associates and client staff.

Education Requirements

Advanced degree in technology, information or other related field

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience playing a lead role or advising on digital projects
  • Proven experience with workflows, tools and processes for managing digital content
  • Experience working with cultural heritage assets

Preferred Experience

  • Demonstrated practical knowledge of archival policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with congressional records
