Historical research for litigation

Locating historical records for legal matters can be a time-consuming and challenging exercise—especially since historical information can survive in disparate records repositories and sources, many of which are only accessible via idiosyncratic filing systems.

Our historical researchers have developed proven tools and strategies for expediting our research process, which include the use of several in-house resources that enable us to quickly respond to our clients’ research needs.

Department of Defense Contracts

We maintain a database that contains summary information on all significant Department of Defense (DoD) contract actions since Fiscal Year 1966. We use this information to guide our research for copies of DoD contracts and contractual materials in the historical record. We also use it to form the basis for requesting contractual records through the FOIA process.

Asbestos Records

We maintain an in-house library of asbestos-related specifications, manuals, publications, and other materials commonly needed in asbestos litigation.

Trichloroethylene (TCE) Records

We maintain an in-house library of TCE-related specifications, manuals, publications, and other materials commonly needed in trichloroethylene litigation.

Perchlorate Records

We maintain an in-house library of perchlorate-related specifications, manuals, publications, and other materials commonly needed in perchlorate litigation.

Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB) Records

Our in-house library contains PCB-related specifications, manuals, publications, and other materials commonly needed in polychlorinated biphenyl litigation.
