Work at HAI

Shelia Jackson is a practitioner of knowledge management, organization development, and project management. Her expertise includes envisioning and leading strategic initiatives to strengthen individual capacity, foster knowledge exchange, and implement processes to streamline and standardize workflows. She is adept at bringing a broad range of stakeholders together to find a consensus and move a project forward. Shelia joined HAI 2023.

Path to HAI

Before joining HAI, Shelia led project teams in the implementation of knowledge management and learning interventions for international development projects. She managed, designed, and facilitated capacity building and knowledge sharing events in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the United States. She supervised the adaptation of print resources and in-person training to virtual environments. Shelia incorporated review and reflection practices into processes to promote real-time learning and change. She worked as both a contractor and grantee on projects funded by USAID. She also worked as a librarian for a law firm and several news organizations.

Shelia is a certified Knowledge Manager (KMI) with a Master’s of Library and Information Science from Florida State University. Shelia’s grit and (more or less) grace can best be explained as a lifelong Chicago Bears fan.
