How attorneys can benefit from professional historical research in soil and groundwater contamination matters.

This  paper provides a historian’s perspective on historical research in soil and groundwater contamination matters and argues that attorneys should consider using professional historians in such matters. It then summarizes some key resources and records collections that historians often consult when researching soil and groundwater contamination matters, with particular attention given to records that can be found at the National Archives and at state and local records repositories.
