Monica L. Fries
Ms. Fries has served on History Associates’ board of directors since 2001 and as president, interim, from February through September of 2018. In addition to her work for History Associates, Monica has practiced all aspects of environmental law, including remediation activities, providing counsel on general environmental regulatory and compliance matters, and assisting clients with environmental aspects of property and business transactions. She has more than twenty years of environmental law experience and previously served as partner with a major regional law firm in St. Louis, Missouri; counsel to the Olin Corporation in Clayton, Missouri; attorney at the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation; and assistant attorney general for the State of Ohio’s Environmental Enforcement section. Ms. Fries earned her B.S. in biology and history from Heidelberg University, her J.D. from Ohio Northern University, and her LL.M. in environmental law from Pace University.
