Michelle Johnson

Research Historian

michelle-johnsonResearch Historian Michelle Johnson conducts historical, museum, and litigation research. Before joining the company, Ms. Johnson interned with the Veterans of the Mississippi Civil Rights Movement, Inc., where she coordinated their Freedom Summer 50th Anniversary Conference. She also interned with the Rhode Island Historical Society, where she conducted historical research for a jewelry company’s 100th anniversary celebration. Ms. Johnson also studied abroad at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, where she focused on African history. She graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a BA in History and Africana Studies. Her honors history thesis was titled, “’Who Speaks for Chicago?’ Civil Rights, Community Organization and Coalition, 1910-1971.”
