Kelly Lathrop, C.A.
Archivist Kelly Lathrop began working for History Associates as a Processing Intern for the Annapolis Yacht Club project, performing rehousing, arrangement, and description services. She has since worked on various processing projects including collections for the National Park Service (NPS). She also assisted with an on-site survey of a private foundation’s archival collection to prepare an assessment report recommending improvements for current conditions and the collection’s arrangement. She is currently continuing work on a project for the Smithsonian Institution Archives of American Art. Prior to joining History Associates, Ms. Lathrop held field-study and internship positions with University of Maryland’s Preservation Lab, Central New York Library Resources Council, Matilda Joslyn Gage Foundation, and the Baltimore Museum of Art. She is experienced with digitization practices, archival processing, preservation, and both analog and digital photography technology and processes.
Ms. Lathrop earned her MLS with a specialization in Archives, Records, and Information Management from University of Maryland, College Park, in 2015. She also holds a BFA in art photography from Syracuse University, 2013. Ms. Lathrop is certified by the Academy of Certified Archivists.
