Dr. David Wagner is a public history professional with extensive experience as a historian, curator, and archivist. He has researched and curated numerous history exhibits for public institutions, and has provided archival services for collections of military, personal, university, and Congressional records. His research and writing formed the foundation of a critically-acclaimed TASCHEN book, Beyond the Wall (2014), and he has written several published articles. His 2016 dissertation, Alone Together: American Intellectuals in the American-Soviet Friendship Movement, examined cultural relations between Americans and the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Dr. Wagner earned a BA in history from Michigan State University, an MA from Eastern Michigan University (specializing in military history), and a PhD from the University of California, Riverside.
