Research Historian Caitlin Conley conducts historical, museum, and litigation research. Before joining History Associates, she worked in various capacities for the University of Virginia, including as a technical writer, XML editor, and documentary editor. She has also worked as a freelance editor and a private music teacher.
She graduated from DePauw University with a Bachelor of Musical Arts in English literature and music. She went on to earn an MA in English literature from the University of Virginia, concentrating on bibliography and textual criticism. Her thesis, “Helen Hunt Jackson’s Ramona: A Critical Edition,” collated editions of Jackson’s novel and placed it into the context of its publication and reception history.
