Historian Alicia Bates conducts historical, museum, and litigation research. Before joining the team at History Associates, she interned in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Archives where she processed government records and researched past House members and legislation.
Ms. Bates graduated summa cum laude from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, with a B. A. in history and secondary education. She presented her senior history capstone project, titled “’Whether you or I were right Posterity must judge’: Politics in the Retirement Correspondence of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson,” at the National Conferences on Undergraduate Research in Cheney, Washington. While at Westminster, she was vice president of Phi Alpha Theta.
