Monica L. Fries
Monica L. Fries, who serves on History Associates’ compensation committee, is an environmental lawyer engaged in all aspects of environmental remediation activities. She also counsels clients on general environmental regulatory and compliance matters and assists clients with environmental aspects of property and business transactions. She has more than twenty years of environmental law experience and previously served as partner with a major regional law firm in St. Louis, Missouri; counsel to the Olin Corporation in Norwalk, Connecticut; attorney at the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation; and assistant attorney general for the State of Ohio’s Environmental Enforcement section. Ms. Fries earned her B.S. in biology and history from Heidelberg University, her J.D. from Ohio Northern University, and her LL.M. in environmental law from Pace University. She is admitted to practice law in Missouri, Ohio, and New York.
