Path to HAI

Before joining HAI, Ethan was the Project Manager for Shippensburg University LGBTQ+ History Project where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the project. He conducted extensive archival research and oral history interviews to bring the history of Shippensburg’s LGBTQ+ community out of the archives. By the time Ethan departed the project had produced a physical exhibit, digital timeline, panel discussion, and been presented at the Fall 2021 Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference. At the conference it was awarded the first ever Diversity and Inclusion Session Scholarship.

Ethan earned a master’s degree in Applied History from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania in 2021 with a focus in local and community history. He graduated in 2020 from Allegheny College with a B.A. in History and minors in Education Studies and English.
