Senior collections manager Zenobia Kozak is currently working on a project to plan and implement the move of an extensive, nationally significant museum. Her work involves collections inventories, surveys of museum procedures, and developing collections management systems.

Prior to joining History Associates, Dr. Kozak lived and worked in London as a media manager with the BBC, researching and disseminating solutions for the long-term preservation of digital media objects through the European network PrestoPRIME. She also served as the BBC heritage manager, inventorying collections, writing guidelines and policies, and redeveloping the collections management system. Dr. Kozak has previously worked at the British Golf Museum in Scotland, researching and compiling historic golfing statistics for the Open Championship website. She also completed internships at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, The Experience Music Project and Seattle Art Museum, and the Washington State Arts Commission.

An active member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) and the American Association of Museums (AAM), Dr. Kozak initiated and chaired an ICOM University Museums and Collections (UMAC) network for information exchange, and she served on the ICOM-UMAC board (2005-2009), strategic planning task force (2007), and international conference editorial board (2006).

Dr. Kozak earned her Ph.D. in museum studies (Promoting the past, preserving the future: British university heritage collections and identity marketing) in 2007 and a postgraduate diploma in museum studies from the University of St Andrews, Scotland, in 2004. She holds a B.A. in art history with a minor in classical studies from the University of Washington in Seattle.
