William Armstrong
Historian William Armstrong is an experienced researcher, writer, and project manager specializing in twentieth-century military history and military technology issues. He is currently working on a variety of litigation and museum projects. Mr. Armstrong has managed research projects on topics such as defense production facilities; government-contractor relations and contractual matters; product liability and historical "failure to warn" issues involving military technology and occupational hazards; and the environmental impact of formerly used defense sites and various defense-related activities. He also has extensive experience conducting textual and photo research and writing text for museum exhibits, including an exhibit on C-47 aircraft and airborne forces for the National World War II Museum and a well-received exhibit on the September 11 attacks at the Caen Memorial Museum in France.
Mr. Armstrong is the author of Images of America: Baltimore in World War II (Arcadia, 2005). He is a member of the U.S. Naval Institute, the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum, and the Western Front Association–U.S. East Coast Chapter. Mr. Armstrong graduated summa cum laude from Towson University in August 2002 with a BS in history and political science, with Departmental Honors in History for his thesis on the Glenn L. Martin Company's B-26 Marauder aircraft.
