Tara Genske
Archivist Tara Genske is currently working for History Associates on various projects related to the National Park Service contract. She is surveying archival collections and preparing processing plans for National Park sites.
Prior to joining History Associates, Ms. Genske was a project archivist for the Wisconsin Historical Society at the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. She had previously worked as an archival assistant for the Society and for the Wisconsin Center for Film and Theatre Research. In these capacities she encoded finding aids using EAD, bar-coded portions of their archival holdings, and retrieved and returned archival materials. She also worked as a curatorial assistant for the Helen Louise Allen Textile Collection.
Ms. Genske earned a bachelor's degree in theatre and drama and a master's degree in library and information studies, with a specialization in archives and records management, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
