Ray Barker
Archivist Ray Barker supervises the processing, arrangement and description, and cataloging for various collections on a project for the National Park Service. Prior to joining History Associates, Mr. Barker worked as processing and supervisory archivist for the Robert Altman Archive at the University of Michigan Special Collections. His previous experience includes working as processing and reference archivist for the U.S. Army at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, in addition to internships at the National Archives and Records Administration, Central Plains Region, and in Special Collections at the Miller Nichols Library at the University of Missouri in Kansas City.
Mr. Barker earned his master's degree in library and information science with a concentration in archives and special collections from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. He holds a BA in English, with a minor in creative writing, from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. Mr. Barker is a member of the Society of American Archivists and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference.
