History Associates Incorporated Opens European Office

History Associates Incorporated (HAI) is pleased to announce the opening of its European Office in Berlin, Germany. The office is HAI's third, complementing our company's main office in Rockville, Maryland, and our Western Area Office in Brea, California.

Dr. Keith R. Allen, HAI Senior Historian, will head up this new initiative to strengthen HAI´s presence in overseas markets. "Particularly given the growing involvement of European nationals in the US legal system," said Allen, "HAI needs to be in a position to offer low-cost, on-demand access to European document repositories. The opening of our office in Berlin significantly reduces our expenses while allowing us to respond to increased demand for our services on both sides of the Atlantic." HAI brings to its work on behalf of law firms, corporations, libraries, archives, and museums a quarter-century of strategic and project management experience.

A business school graduate, in 1997 Dr. Allen earned his Ph.D. in history from Carnegie Mellon University. He has been awarded two Fulbright awards—the Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship and the Public Policy Scholarship from the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, a distinction previously held by ambassadors, attorneys general, and university presidents. Dr. Allen organized the first major international conference on museums and the Cold War for the Wilson Center and the creation of on-line exhibits for the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, where he served as supervisory historian and director of web content.

History Associates offers historical research and writing, exhibit design, publication services, and archives and records management services tailored to the particular needs of individual clients. For personal consultation, please contact Dr. Allen or HAI's International Division director, Dr. James Lide.
