Ruth Dudgeon, Ph.D., Executive Vice President of History Associates Incorporated (HAI) based in Rockville, Maryland, retired at the end of December 2004 after twenty years with the company. Ruth was a leader among the historians who, over two decades, helped turn an entrepreneurial vision into The Best Company In History. She will be missed and fondly remembered by her friends and colleagues at HAI. Concurrent with Ruth's retirement and with HAI's continuing growth, the company recently completed several management changes in its Rockville office, including the following new positions and promotions: Brian Martin, Ph.D., formerly HAI's Vice President for Litigation Research, has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Michael Reis, M.A., formerly Deputy Director of Litigation Research, has been promoted to Director of Litigation Research. John Taylor, MA, has been named Deputy Director of Litigation Research, effective October 1, 2004. Anita M. Weber, M.L.S., MA, who has been serving as Deputy Director of the company's Information Resources Management (IRM) Division, has accepted the position of Director of that division effective October 1, 2004. Rachel Ban, M.L.S., MA, CA, has been promoted to the new position of Deputy Director of HAI's IRM Division. Vicki L. Gottheit, M.B.A., C.P.A., has begun work
