History Associates Incorporated Announces New International Division

History Associates Incorporated (HAI), headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, announced today the formation of a new International Division to provide historical research and archival services for overseas clients. The new division joins HAI's History, Litigation Research, and Information Resources Management divisions in offering a wide range of history-related services to private, public, and non-profit organizations.

The International Division builds upon HAI's increased historical research activity for American and European companies resulting from international concern over Nazi-era stolen assets and forced labor issues. The new division currently has several projects involving research in Germany, France, and Great Britain, and plans to extend into other countries over the next two years.

Dr. James H. Lide, the division's director, currently oversees HAI's research projects relating to World War II-era claims arising from looted art, forced labor practices in Germany, and the activities at American subsidiaries throughout occupied Europe. Division staff include native and fluent speakers of German, French, Italian, and Spanish, with extensive research experience in overseas archives.

Since its founding in 1980, History Associates Incorporated—one of the world's oldest and largest historical research firms—has provided customized historical, litigation, archival, and records management services to hundreds of clients in corporations, government, the professions, and non-profit organizations.
