HAI Historian Garry Adelman Authors New Book

Garry E. Adelman of History Associates Incorporated (HAI) based in Rockville, Maryland, has authored The Myth of Little Round Top, Gettysburg, PA, his fourth book concerning America's greatest battle.

Little Round Top is one of the most well known of Civil War sites. Popularized by soldiers, historians, novelists, and filmmakers, this small hill south of Gettysburg has often been called the "key" to the Union position at Gettysburg. Many have gone so far as to suggest that had the Confederates captured the hill, the United States would have been forever split in two. For the first time, Garry Adelman traces the growth of the Little Round Top myth and assesses the military importance of the rocky hill. Adelman considers a myriad of sources within the overall context of the battle and makes a convincing argument that the popular story of Little Round Top is, indeed, a myth. The book is available at www.thomaspublications.com.
