Janet Holsinger

Senior historian Janet Holsinger works on a variety of museum and historical research projects. She currently directs museum exhibit projects, develops museum content, drafts exhibit text, and conducts photographic and moving image research. Her exhibit work includes projects such as the Normandy American Cemetery Visitor Center, National World War II Museum, National Sports Museum, and the forthcoming Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement. Ms. Holsinger also serves as deputy director of History Associates’ International Division.

Other recent projects include research relating to the Atlantic slave trade and slavery in the United States on behalf of financial institutions, as well as World War II-era claims arising from looted art and Holocaust assets. In addition, Ms. Holsinger has research experience in wartime facilities and government institutions, corporate succession, the nuclear industry, and manufactured gas plants.

Ms. Holsinger earned her bachelor's degree in history from the College of Wooster in Ohio and holds a master's degree in education from the University of North Carolina.
