Thorough Investigation of Asbestos Claims
Like many companies with a long manufacturing history, TKD, Inc. recently faced a potentially costly, but poorly documented, asbestos claim in California state court. The plaintiff in this case alleged that he was exposed to asbestos while repairing pumps manufactured by Johnston Pump Company (the former name of TKD) on specific U.S. Navy vessels. Investigating Environmental Claims
Attorneys at Husch Blackwell needed to document WWII manufacturing processes for their client, a chemical manufacturer, in order to determine a fair assessment of their client's share of the environmental cleanup costs. They turned to History Associates to secure comprehensive documentation of the extent of U.S. government involvement at the plants. JPMorgan Chase: Investigating Connections to Slavery
When JPMorgan Chase merged with Bank One, the new firm faced a unique problem.
