Emily Rupp Cottle

Archivist Emily Rupp Cottle is currently working on a variety of projects for History Associates involving processing, arrangement, and description of collections. Before coming to History Associates, she interned with the Centre County Historical Society in State College, Pennsylvania, where she composed a finding aid and digitized a photograph collection.

Additionally, Ms. Cottle has completed internships with the Massachusetts Historical Society in its reference department and the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in the Archives Processing Unit. At the Kennedy Library, she assisted in the processing of the John Kenneth Galbraith papers and the digitization of the President's Office Files. In the spring of 2007, Ms. Cottle was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta, the history honor society. She also belongs to the Society of American Archivists (SAA) and Beta Phi Mu, the library and information studies honor society.

Ms. Cottle graduated with high distinction from Pennsylvania State University in August 2007 with a BA in history. She also holds a master's degree in library and information science with a concentration in archives management from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts.
