Deborah Khuanghlawn
Archivist Deborah Khuanghlawn is working on a project for the National Park Service, performing archival processing, arrangement, and description services for various collections. Prior to joining History Associates, she worked as a student assistant in the University Records Management Department of the Special Collections and Archives at George Mason University. She completed a practicum at the Smithsonian Institution Archives in the Digital Services Division, performing digitization on several collections for the museum. Ms. Khuanghlawn also completed an internship at the Archives Center in the National Museum of American History, working on the Scurlock Studio Records Collection. As part of a team, she catalogued, cleaned, and archived 40,000 black-and-white photographs and negatives, prepared the collection for cold storage, and created finding aids for the collection.
Ms. Khuanghlawn earned her master's degree in history with a concentration in applied history from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She received her bachelor's degree in history from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
