David Wiseman
Historian David Wiseman conducts historical and litigation research. His project experience includes investigating the corporate and environmental history of manufactured gas operations, researching historical land use and industrial contamination matters, and preparing interpretive plans for Civil War battlefields. He recently co-authored an article with colleague Michael C. Reis entitled "The Historian's Valuable Role as Expert and Advisor in Environmental Litigation," which appeared in the Spring 2011 issue of The Environmental Litigator.
Mr. Wiseman holds a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he was an editor of the University of Baltimore Law Review and a member of the Heuisler Honor Society. He holds a B.A. in political science and history from Gettysburg College. Mr. Wiseman previously worked as a trial attorney in complex civil litigation matters involving land use, contracts, employment, education, and juvenile advocacy. He has taught courses in American Constitutional law and civil liberties at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, and Goucher College in Towson, Maryland.
