April Sparks
Archivist April Sparks is working for History Associates on a project for the National Park Service, performing archival processing, arrangement, and description services. Prior to joining History Associates, Ms. Sparks completed a practicum at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, processing, arranging, and describing backlogged and undescribed collections, and she performed a short-term contract for Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio in preparation for their 100th Anniversary celebration, processing, arranging, and describing institutional records.
Ms. Sparks holds a master of library and information science with a focus on archival science from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, as well as a BA in Middle Eastern studies from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Ms. Sparks also holds provisional certification from the Academy of Certified Archivists and is a member of the Society of American Archivists.
