Abigail L. Dixon, C.A.

Archivist/records manager Abigail L. Dixon, C.A., works on a variety of archives and records management projects for History Associates’ Western Area Office. Her current work includes conducting records inventories, writing records retention schedules, creating archives policies and procedures manuals, and completing historical records appraisals. Ms. Dixon also has experience with EAD encoding, records management training, and processing archival collections. Prior to joining the Western Area Office, Ms. Dixon spent two years in History Associates’ Rockville, Maryland, office where she completed projects for the Library of Congress, the National Institutes of Health, and several National Park Service sites.

Ms. Dixon is a member of the Society of California Archivists (SCA) and the Society of American Archivists (SAA). She is also a certified archivist through the Academy of Certified Archivists (ACA) since 2006. Ms. Dixon earned her master's degree in library and information science, with a concentration in archives management, from Louisiana State University.
