The Historian’s Valuable Role as Expert and Advisor in Environmental Litigation

Professional historians can assist lawyers in a number of different ways, from serving as stand-alone subject matter experts to playing a supporting role for other experts whose conclusions rely on underlying facts. 

Although still relatively uncommon, litigators are turning to professional historians with increasing frequency. This article details how lawyers can utilize the services of professional historians at several stages of the litigation process:
